Going, going, gone...

Do you know that this place we call the Earth, our home, is having some problems? Not only are we losing the battle of the rainforest but our lakes and oceans are rapidly becoming polluted. The air we breathe is almost to a critical situation in most of our major cities. Exotic animals that once roamed this planet, are now either endangered or extinct.

Its now up to all of us to take a closer look at our home. We need to be the stewards of our earth and tend to its needs and concerns.

Creatures Great & Small is a nonprofit organization that not only takes in unwanted and abused exotic animals, but also helps educate students of all ages about what is happening in our world today and some of the things we can do to help this wonderful planet we call our home.

We will bring you news of our environment, animals that need our help, updates on conservation and tips on how we can become involved in this ever changing world.

Remember, it's up to all of us and yes we can make a difference if we try...

Tigers...    siberian.jpg (15791 bytes)

Did you know that at the beginning of this century there may have been 100,000 tigers, but now fewer than 6,000 live in the wild. Three of the eight subspecies have already been wiped out and a fourth is very near extinction.

RainForest... rainfore.jpg (27917 bytes)

Did you know that over half of all living plant and animal life forms are found in the Rainforest, even though the tropical rainforest covers just 2% of the earth's surface?

The rainforest is being destroyed at a rate of over 150 acres per minute. That's over 200,000 acres a day, an area larger than New York City!!
